SPS Technology Resources for Remote Learning

Laptop Pick-up and Repair

If you don't yet have a school issued laptop:

  • Call the school at (413) 787-7085 to order a new laptop. You will need to provide your name and your student ID. 
  • You will receive a call from the school when your laptop is ready to be picked up. (If you have any issues with transportation to school to pick up your laptop, please let the clerk know when you place your order.)

If you need help with WiFi or Software:

  • Visit the Student Help Desk in Microsoft Teams (you can access it from Office 365 on any device, from the desktop app on your computer, or from a smart phone. Use your id@springfieldpublicschools.com and your laptop password to login.
  • Click on the IT Help Files or the Student Help Desk videos to find helpful resources.
  • If you still need help, post your question on the message board. Someone from the help desk will help you troubleshoot. If your problem can't be solved remotely, they will help you schedule a laptop replacement.
  • If you are unable to access the Student Help Desk, call the school at (413) 787-7085. 

If your laptop needs to be repaired (it does not work at all, or is physically damaged):

  • If you can access the Student Help Desk in Microsoft Teams, write on the message board what is wrong with your laptop. They will help you schedule a laptop replacement.  
  • If you cannot access the Help Desk, you can call the school at (413) 787-7085. You will need to provide your name, student ID, and information about what is wrong with your laptop.
  • Someone from the school will help you to schedule a laptop replacement.
